Porto Your Way is looking for knowledgeable, curious locals to guide private experiences through the city. No fixed script, no group tours — just you, a small group, and the parts of Porto you know best.

Flexible schedule
You choose which tours you're available for. We broadcast tour requests by email — you reply only when it suits you. No fixed shifts, no minimum hours.
Competitive pay
Guides keep 75% of the tour fee — above the industry standard. A 3-hour private tour for two adults earns you €90. Payment transferred within 48 hours of the tour.
No fixed route
Porto Your Way is built around the guest's interests, not a predetermined itinerary. You guide through what you know and love — food, history, photography, architecture, daily life.
Small groups only
Maximum 6 guests per experience. Intimate enough for real conversation and the kind of moments that don't happen on a bus tour.

You live in Porto
Not just familiar with it — you actually live here. You know which market stalls are worth stopping at, which tascas have handwritten menus, which viewpoints are quiet at 8am.
You speak English fluently
All Porto Your Way experiences are conducted in English. Additional languages — Portuguese, Spanish, French — are a bonus and open up more tour requests.
You're genuinely curious
The best experiences come from guides who are interested in their guests as much as their city. You listen, you adapt, you follow the conversation wherever it leads.
You have a specialism
Food, wine, photography, architecture, history, neighbourhood life — guests book based on interests. A clear specialism means more tour matches for you.
You're reliable
When you confirm a tour, you show up. Guests have often travelled a long way for this experience. Reliability is non-negotiable.

Fill in the application form. Tell us about yourself, your Porto, your languages, and your specialism. We review every application personally.
Short interview
If your application is a good fit we'll arrange a brief video call — 20 minutes — to get to know you and explain how Porto Your Way works in practice.
Trial tour
New guides complete one trial experience before going live. This lets you get comfortable with the format and lets us see you in action.
Start receiving tour requests
Once confirmed you'll receive tour request broadcasts by email. Reply to confirm availability. We assign the tour and send you the guest brief.
